Dashcam captures the moment cars on Sydney Harbour Bridge smashed head-on

Dashcam has captured the major crash of two vehicles that caused hours of delay during peak-hour traffic on Sydney’s Harbour Bridge’s so-called “death lanes”.

The footage shows the cars smashing head-on and clipping two other cars in the process at about 8am on Wednesday.

One person needed to be pulled from the wreckage by the firefighters who used the jaws of life to free the trapped motorist.

The trapped person was taken to St Vincent Hospital in a stable condition with minor back injuries.

A second driver suffered minor injuries and has also been taken to hospital in a stable condition.

A third person was assessed by paramedics at the scene.

The scene took two hours to clear, causing major peak hour delays.
