Corrie star in disbelief after family update with famous husband
Coronation Street’s Jane Danson was in disbelief as she shared a “crazy” family update. The soap star is renowned for her role as Leanne Battersby in the ITV soap.
It has been a turbulent time for the soap star of late after she was brainwashed by The Institute. She has since been rocked to discover her husband, Nick Tilsley, has had an affair with her sister, Toyah.
Away from the screen, her life is fortunately a lot more harmonious as she regularly shares updates on Instagram. She has been married to fellow soap star, Robert Beck, who most recently played Harry in Emmerdale.
They married in 2005 and share two children named Harry and Sam. Jane has taken to social media to reveal the family is in a celebratory mood as her youngest son has turned 16.
The 46-year-old couldn’t believe how quickly the years had gone by. She said: “Happy 16th birthday to my youngest @samthompson_21. The years are flying by.
“He is 2 years younger than I was when I started @coronationstreet, crazy!!! Love you mate.” Jane’s Corrie co-stars took to the comments to wish her well after the update.
Sally Carman, who plays Abi Webster, said: “So handsome! Happy Birthday Sam.” Georgia Taylor, who plays Toyah, commented: “Happy birthday Sam.”
Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria Connor, commented: “Happy birthday handsome chops!” Sally Dynevor, who plays Sally Metcalfe, said: “Happy Birthday Sam xx”
Robert and Jane’s romance blossomed when they first met at the British Soap Awards in 1999. Jane told OK! about their meeting, as she said: “I’m not the world’s most confident person but I’d had a crush on Rob since I was 15, so I thought, I have to speak to him, it’s fate.”
Jane shared the secrets to their long relationship as she said: “Rob’s absolutely my best friend in the world. We’ve only had about two rows in twenty years. I’m not saying we don’t get on each other’s nerves sometimes but we’re a strong team and we’ve always allowed each other to be individuals.”
