Coronation Street fans have claimed that Daisy Midgeley is still hiding the identity of her unborn child and admitted the twist ‘wouldn’t surprise them’.
It’s now been a number of weeks since Daisy was surprised on Christmas Day having taken a positive pregnancy test. While she shared the news with Jenny Connor, Daisy wasn’t able to confirm who the father was as she’d slept with her ex-fiance Daniel Osbourne and her new flame Kit Green.
Daisy later decided to get a DNA test but after receiving the results last month, she has been keeping them a secret from everyone. At the time, she told Jenny it was irrelevant who the father is before Daisy deleted the email, insisting the result will remain unknown.
But it was Jenny who has since assumed and confirmed the paternity of Daisy’s unborn child. Amid reunion hopes for Daisy and Daniel, she took that it meant he was the father.
She ended up confirming the news to him and when Daisy found out, the lie quickly snowballed before a guilt-ridden Daisy railed at Jenny as she confirmed it is Kit who is really the father.
Daisy has, however, continued with the lie amid her reunion with Daniel and during Wednesday night’s (February 26) episode of the ITV soap, fans saw the couple head to Daisy’s 12 week scan.
With it being confirmed the baby was doing well, the emotions became too much for Daisy and she rushed out, leaving Daniel to explain to the nurse that it was an unexpected pregnancy and the mother-to-be was just getting used to the idea of having a baby on the way.
But Corrie fans think there was another reason for Daisy’s behaviour. @emmapurple1 said: “My verdict for who the father is of daisy’s kid on #Corrie – I bet it’s NEITHER Kit or Daniel as it says that she runs out of the appointment, and I reckon she knows that she is more than 12 weeks.”

She’s pregnant and stuck with a man with the IQ of a pigeon, and Kit the biological father of her baby has turned his back on her! She should be with Ryan!”
