The Santa Cruz Vala is a newly launched e-mountain bike (eMTB) designed for trail and enduro riding, featuring advanced technology and a focus on performance. It is equipped with the Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 5 motor, which delivers 85 Nm of torque and is paired with a 600 Wh battery for efficient power output. The Vala incorporates a mixed-wheel setup, with a 29-inch front wheel and a 27.5-inch rear wheel, and offers 160 mm of front travel and 150 mm of rear travel. This configuration enhances the bike’s agility and control on various terrains. Notably, the Vala departs from Santa Cruz’s traditional Virtual Pivot Point (VPP) suspension design, opting instead for a four-bar suspension platform to improve pedaling and braking performance.
The Vala’s carbon fiber frame is designed for durability and lightweight performance, complemented by FOX Factory suspension components for a smooth and responsive ride. The bike includes features such as internal cable routing, a flip chip for geometry adjustments, and compatibility with a 250 Wh range extender for extended battery life. Santa Cruz has also integrated the Bosch Flow App, allowing riders to customize motor settings and monitor system performance. With its emphasis on reliability, adaptability, and cutting-edge technology, the Santa Cruz Vala represents a significant addition to the brand’s eMTB lineup, catering to both recreational and competitive riders.
