The City of Bend, Oregon, has partnered with micro-mobility provider Veo to introduce 300 new black and teal pedal-assist e-bikes across the city. Available for rent via the Veo mobile app, the e-bikes can be picked up and returned at designated bike racks or parking zones for added convenience. This effort arrives as the city begins to prioritize eco-friendly transportation methods for consumers looking to get around the city.
This initiative supports Bend’s commitment to expanding sustainable transportation options, aiming to reduce vehicle traffic and provide residents and visitors with an eco-friendly way to navigate the city.
“This was a council initiative. Part of the reason that we did this is because they would replace a lot of car trips. That means that there’s more parking available, less congestion,” said Ariel Mendez, city councillor.
