The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures has pacted with CJ ENM to host a K-Culture Night event to mark CJ’s 30th anniversary and the 13th edition of the KCON fan festival in downtown Los Angeles.

Set for July 31, the night before KCON 2025 opens, the K-Culture Night at the Academy Museum with KCON event will feature a range of Korean celebrities and creatives. The event at the museum’s David Geffen Theater will be emceed by Korean American entertainer Eric Nam.

The presentation will include K-pop stars such as Lee Youngji, P1Harmony and Japanese girl group IS:SUE. “Squid Game” star Yim Si-wan is also scheduled to make an appearance. The goal is to highlight the growth of Korean and Asian content and content platforms.

The K-Culture Night is part of a three-year agreement set between entertainment conglomerate CJ ENM and the Academy Museum to help elevate the profile of Korean and Asian movies and TV shows on the global stage. CJ ENM sponsored the Academy Museum exhibit and screening series dedicated to “Parasite” director Bong Joon Ho that opened in March.

The 2025 KCON fan event runs Aug. 1-3 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The event features fan meetings, gatherings, panel sessions and Q&A as well as a floor of exhibits and activitions. Each night is capped with a concert at Crypto.com Arena with three separate lineups of K-pop stars and up-and-comers.
