Celebrity Big Brother’s Michael Fabricant has claimed that a housemate has an ‘agenda’ against him moments after being evicted from the ITV programme.

The former Tory MP became the first person to leave the popular reality show, just four days after entering the house.

With fans having to vote to save on Friday night (April 11), viewers opted to keep Oscar nominee Mickey Rourke and Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd.

Earlier in the night, talk show host Trisha Goddard warned Michael that his remarks about immigration were becoming ‘dangerous’.

In a challenge that saw Chensey Hawkes singing for 30 minutes straight, Michael had to make a speech so the house could keep its electricity supply.

“My surname is French and I’m of Jewish extraction so I’m a real immigrant, and the point I’m making is Jewish people, when they usually come to this country, believe ‘do in Rome as the Romans do’, not come to this country if your aim is to change everybody to your way of thinking,” he said.

Trisha interrupted to ask: “Hang on, are you slipping into Islamophobia?”, adding she felt his speech was ‘getting dangerous’.”

Michael insisted he was talking generally about immigration, and later in the diary room accused Goddard of ‘stereotyping’ him.

He explained: “Trisha was jumping to conclusions about what I was getting at. She was stereotyping me as a Conservative MP and then she suddenly jumped onto the subject of Islamophobia, which is not what I was getting at – I made it very clear.

“Certainly people afterwards were saying to me, ‘how did she leap to that particular conclusion?’ I thought it was a bit simplistic for her to jump onto that, I didn’t like it.”

Shortly after being evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house, Michael told presenters Will Best and AJ Odudu that Trisha has ‘an agenda’ against him.

“She misunderstands how politics is a broad thing and how you can be a left wing Tory and a right wing Labour guy. They overlap…

“I think only one person took it too seriously but anyway,” he said.

It’s been a week of controversy on the programme, which saw Mickey handed a formal warning over comments he made to JoJo Siwa which she called ‘homophobic’.

Celebrity Big Brother returns on Sunday night at the later time of 10pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
