The Corrie actor was voted as the 2025 winner of the ITV reality show
Celebrity Big Brother viewers admitted they feel ‘let down’ as they claimed Jack P Shepherd ‘robbed’ a housemate of victory.
The David Platt actor was the shock winner of the ITV reality show, with the majority of his screentime spent drinking tea.
In what was a tense final on Friday night (April 25), presenters AJ Odudu and Will Best revealed where the final six contestants finished.
Finishing in sixth place was Love Island’s Chris Hughes, followed by singer Chensey Hawkes, comedian Donna Preston and pop star JoJo Siwa.
The bookies frontrunner Danny Beard and Jack were the last two people in the house as Danny told Jack he was ‘going to win’.
Despite hearing drag queen Danny’s prediction, Jack remained certain that he wasn’t going to pull off the victory.
In a moment that few saw coming, Jack’s name was read out by AJ and Will as the winner, becoming the first Corrie actor to win the show since Ryan Thomas in 2018.
However, not everyone was happy with Jack’s win as they rushed to X, previously known as Twitter, to have their say on him winning the series over Danny.
@JackProverbsPR said: “Sorry but after all of that… Jack’s the winner??? Bit of a let down #CBBUK.” @vincenoirr added: “I demand a recount this is rigged #CBBUK.”
@slinehan1 wrote: “You’re telling me this HILARIOUS human being lost to a bloke who’s done nothing but drink tea for three weeks?! It’s a travesty. #CBBUK #CBBLL.” @itsbbplus posted: “Really? The least deserving winner ever, honestly. I have no words. #CBBUK #CBB.”
@yourschloex commented: “The British public making someone with a dry sense of humour and a tea addiction the winner of celebrity big brother feels weirdly patriotic #CBBUK.” @According2Al stated: “How I’m going to wake up tomorrow morning remembering that Danny was robbed of the win #CBB #CBBUK.”
Speaking after his win. Jack threw a playful dig at his co-star Colson Smith, who finished in third place last year.
“If I got third, I’d be amazed because then I’d be level with him,” he joked.
Jack added: “I didn’t expect it. I thought I was a shoe-in for maybe fifth… I super analysed the whole show, thinking about maybe where I am in the pecking order.”
