On Feb. 15, investigators were told a youth had been frequently communicating with a male suspect, who indicated he was a therapist and would offer his services at no cost. Police say they met through a friend in November 2024.
It’s alleged that between November 2024 and February, the suspect frequently messaged the youth and met with them, however the messages evolved to expressing his feelings toward the victim beyond a “professional relationship.”
A search warrant was executed on Wednesday at a residence in Grimsby and Norman Behie was charged with luring a child.
Police say Behie was employed as a case worker and investigators believe there may be additional alleged victims.
