Cancellations and closures begin as snow starts to fall in Toronto, GTA

Cancellations and closures have began to roll in as snow starts to fall in Toronto and the GTA ahead a system that could bring up to 30 centimetres of snow to region by Thursday morning.

A snowfall warning is currently in effect for much of Southern Ontario. You can find more details about the weather here.

Here are the closures that have been announced so far:

Schools and buses in the GTA:

City of Toronto:

  • Toronto District School Board: All in-person continuing education and evening courses are cancelled for February 12. This includes international languages, elementary and African heritage, Learn for Life community programs, and adult ESL.

York Region:

  • York District School Board: All after-school/evening activities including permits on Wednesday, February 12 are cancelled.

TTC

No TTC cancellations at this time

GO Transit

A special schedule will be running on February 13 due to the winter storm. You can visit See Schedules for the modified trip times and to plan ahead

Attractions

  • Toronto Zoo will be closed on Thursday, February 13 due to the heavy snow and winter storm forecast
