BTS’ Jungkook, V, RM make top 10 comeback in K-pop brand rankings with military discharge around the corner | Music News

Korea Brand Reputation Index (KBRI) has released its monthly K-pop idol brand value rankings for March. BIGBANG’s G-Dragon took the top spot this month. With a “triple threat” of new projects lined up, including his third studio album and a world tour, fans are counting down the days. Right behind him at number two is K-pop idol-turned-actor Cha Eun Woo, who’s preparing for his big comeback with the show Wonder Fools. Coming in at number three is BTS’ Jin. After years of teasing his acting skills on BTS variety shows, he finally made his acting debut and fans are loving every second of it.

Not only Jin, but with BTS gearing up for their full comeback later this year, all the members are starting to show up on the charts again. The monthly rankings are put together by the Korea Brand Reputation Index after analysing data from 755 male K-pop idols, comparing everything from “consumer participation and media buzz to communication and community activity.”

BTS reunion

While Jin and J-Hope have already wrapped up their mandatory military service, the other BTS members are expected to return in 2025. In a Weverse interview published on December 24, J-Hope opened up about the group’s long-awaited reunion. “When we are all back together as a group, it’s going to have a huge impact, and everybody is going to be watching,” he said. The K-pop rapper also shared his excitement about performing with the members again, adding, “I want to come back in style and say, This is us; this is BTS.”  When asked about his bond with the group, he noted, “Even now, I’m here because of the group. Working with others is still so fun and fulfilling and makes me so happy.”

Reports have hinted that BTS might return with a full album and a world tour in 2025 to mark the 10th anniversary of The Most Beautiful Moment in Life series. However, while BTS hasn’t confirmed anything yet, their agency previously stated that a reunion might happen in 2026. “We are currently in discussions with the members about activities in 2026. While a full group comeback would generate considerable revenue, we expect it will not account for as high a share of our earnings as in the past, as our other artists and new ventures are also contributing to growth,” said CFO Lee Kyung Joon.
