‘Broke people activities’: B-schooler shares CA-made Excel sheet for casual group dining | Trending News

A Hyderabad-based student has elevated the concept of bill splitting to an entirely new level when it comes to group dining. After a casual get-together with friends, Sneha, a student at the Indian School of Business, posted an Excel sheet that carefully broke down her friends’ expenses, drawing attention on social media.

In an X post, Sneha shared a picture of the detailed spreadsheet, giving a shoutout to her chartered accountant friend for the meticulous work. The items mentioned were Agli Olio, pizza, hot chocolate, cold coffee, caramel macchiato, cheesecake coffee, marble cake, tortellini, penne, tiramisu, and water—which were divided among six people.

The spreadsheet outlined each friend’s name along with their expenses, even breaking down the percentage share each person had to pay. Sneha wrote, “my friends here in bschool went outside yesterday and the CA in the group just sent this sheet with the split. kinda love it lmao.”

The post quickly gained traction, accumulating nearly 70,00,00 views and numerous reactions. “what no tax deductions, incomplete spreadsheet,” an X user wrote. “i had a group of friends do this once, never went out with them again,” another user commented.

“Interestinggggg. The groups I’ve gone out in recent past fight to pay the bill cuz we all are accumulating credit card points. Then the rest of the group pays them back thru UPI. We just split the whole amount,” a third user reacted. “Broke people activities,” another user said.
