This child actor began his career by portraying a younger version of Kishore Kumar in the film Raagni. Later, he went on to deliver some of Bollywood’s timeless classics like Amar Prem, Anurag, Prem, Ghar, Jaani Dushman and Naukar Biwi Ka. With his striking looks and charming personality, actor Vinod Mehra won hearts of audiences.

In his entire acting journey, this actor has worked in over 100 films and was renowned for his ‘chocolate boy’ image. Why his career was nothing short of spectacular, his personal life was far from perfect. Despite his good looks and success, the actor endured numerous hardships before he passed away at the age of 45. Let’s have a closer look at the life of superstar Vinod Mehra.

Vinod Mehra was married thrice throughout his life. It was once reported that he had a brief marriage to his co-star Rekha, whom he was madly in love with. His first marriage was arranged by his mother to Meena Broce. The two got married in 1970s, but things became quite nasty when Vinod had his first heart attack. Well, it took him while to recover, but things never became normal between the two after that.

After Vinod got back on his feet, he grew closer to his co-star Bindiya Goswami. Although, the actor was already married, but he kept his affair private. As soon as his wife got to know about his alleged relationship with Bindiya, she parted ways with the actor.

Mehra and Bindiya tied the knot in the early 1980s which was also the time when Vinod’s popularity was beginning to wane. Reportedly, this was one of the main reasons why Bindiya started getting closer to J.P. Dutta and eloped with him, leaving Mehra on his own.

Afterward, there were rumours of Mehra and Rekha’s alleged relationship. According to reports, Vinod and Rekha secretly got married, though the actress later declined this claim. Reportedly, Mehra’s mother was against Rekha, which ultimately ended their relationship.

Following his break up with Rekha, Vinod decided to give love another chance. He met Kiran Mehra and got married to her. The couple had two children-Rohan and Sonia. Their marital life was going successful until tragedy struck when Vinod suffered another heart attack and passed away at the age of 45.
