A body has been recovered from a Scots river by emergency personnel.
The body of a man has been pulled from a Scots river as cops investigate the “unexplained” death.
Yesterday at around 8am, emergency personnel made the awful discovery at the River Forth near Burntisland, Fife. A photo of the scene shows an ambulance and multiple police cars in attendance.
Investigators are treating the death as “unexplained” and his death is not thought to be suspicious. Officers have informed the man’s next of kin.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8am on Monday, March 3, 2025, the body of a man was recovered from the River Forth.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained, but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We received a call at 08:07 to attend an incident near the Point in Burntisland. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene.”
