Manufacturing performance improvement firm Chartwell Consulting has founded a new alliance with BDO. The strategic partnership with the audit and advisory firm will see the companies provide new decarbonisation services for clients.
Andy Redfern, founding partner of Chartwell, commented, “I’m excited to help our clients redefine the possible alongside BDO. We’re thrilled to have a partner who supports our vision of delivering rapid, remarkable and sustainable improvements to clients. Our shared drive of providing meaningful improvement and real value paves the way to future progress.”
Chartwell is an international engineering-led operations consulting firm, with five offices across the UK, Europe and the United States. Meanwhile, BDO’s large professional services operation takes in 18 offices in the UK. It is also part of a global network spanning 166 countries.
The strategic partnership will enable both parties to leverage their respective skills to deliver measurable and sustainable performance improvement to maximise value for clients. This will combine BDO’s financial, operational and carbon reduction capabilities with Chartwell’s deep engineering-led operations performance optimisation expertise in capital and energy intensive industries.
Richard Austin, head of manufacturing and value creation services at BDO, added, “I’m delighted to announce our strategic partnership with Chartwell. It’s great to have a partner that shares our values of delivering excellence for our clients through high impact high quality services. We share a passion for maximising value through improving performance and profitability while reducing carbon emissions.”
Earlier in March 2025, BDO also entered into a strategic partnership with international retail consultancy Shopworks. The move aims to improve the financial, operational, and strategic performance of both parties’ consumer markets clients.
