Atishi, Bidhuri file complaints with Election Commission | Delhi News

Chief Minister Atishi and her opponent from Kalkaji, BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri, Thursday filed complaints against each other with the Election Commission.

Atishi alleged that the police were threatening AAP workers who had complained that they were harassed by Bidhuri’s associates. Seeking the transfer of officers at Govindpuri police station, she alleged: “The local police are trying to hush up the case of Bidhuri and his nephew threatening and assaulting AAP workers…”

Atishi further wrote: “…the police seem to be in a hurry to close the case and are forcing the volunteers to sign incomplete and false statements.” DCP (South East) Ravi Kumar Singh said, “The complaint has been referred to us. An inquiry will be conducted.”

Bidhuri, meanwhile, alleged that Atishi was filing “false complaints” against him and exerting undue pressure on the local administration.
