Ange Postecoglou: ‘Somebody is leaking Spurs team news’, says boss

On Friday, Tottenham announced, external the appointment of Vinai Venkatesham as their new chief executive officer – a role he held at their rivals Arsenal before leaving at the end of last season.

The 44-year-old spent more than a decade in various roles at the Gunners before being named CEO in 2020, and is currently a non-executive director of the British Olympic Association.

Venkatesham, who was formerly a member of the board and executive committee of the European Club Association (ECA), will start work at Spurs this summer and be responsible for operational matters on and off the field.

The move is another example of an executive working for two rival high-profile Premier League clubs.

Last year Omar Berrada left his role as chief operations officer (COO) at City Football Group – the parent company of Manchester City – to become CEO of Manchester United.
