Three men were taken into custody by police after a dangerous high-speed pursuit on surface streets in South Los Angeles Monday night.

It’s unclear where exactly the pursuit, which was initiated around 9 p.m., started, but the trio were reportedly wanted for an alleged shooting, though authorities have yet to confirm that detail or provide any additional information.

Aerial footage of the chase captured by Sky5 showed the suspect behind the wheel speeding around turns, narrowly missing other motorists as he drove around them while sparks shot out from beneath the vehicle.

At least one patrol cruiser may have been involved in an accident around the area of 75th Street and Central Avenue, prompting authorities to call for two rescue ambulances.

Police giving chase to the suspects also reportedly located an item thrown from the vehicle around Gage Avenue and Hoover Street.

As the driver continued the chase, he made a right turn onto Manhattan Place and 52nd Street, a dead end, and came to a quick stop with smoke pouring out of the hood of the vehicle.

The driver immediately opened the door, stepped out and raised his hands in surrender as police surrounded the vehicle with guns drawn.

Two other suspects were ordered out of the car one by one and all three were taken into custody.
