The horrific alleged hate attack on a Muslim woman at an Ajax library was sickening to the core.

Equally stomach-churning were these six words: Fail to comply with probation order. This is a daily occurrence in this country.
There is no brushing it off. Canada is hopelessly soft on crime. More so than over the past decade under the Liberals’ benevolent watch.
The 25-year-old woman accused of the evil assault is merely another in a rotating cast of characters given an endless series of breaks by a system oblivious to the fear and pain of crime victims. It doesn’t matter if the victim is a kid, a mom, or a martian.
According to cops, on Saturday at the Ajax Public Library’s main branch at 55 Harwood Ave., a woman unleashed an “unprovoked attack.” The suspect allegedly yelled profanities at the victim and threw objects at her head.

She then allegedly tried to remove the female victim’s hijab as she poured an unknown liquid on it. The attacker then tried to light the hijab on fire, police say.
Security intervened. Something of a happy ending but what if they didn’t?
Durham Regional Police arrested and charged Kaley-Ann Freier, 25, of Ajax, a short time later. She is charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and three counts of fail to comply with a probation order. She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

While the charges against Freier have not been proven, Muslim and community groups are rightly outraged at the allegations. The main question on my lips is thus: Why was Freier on the street?
Of course, we could also be asking the same question regarding accused killer Adimabua Chukwuka, 31, of Toronto.

Over the years, cops have accused Chukwaka of multiple violent offences.
He allegedly beat to death 60-year-old homeless man Mario Ferreira with a piece of debris on the University of Toronto campus. The pair did not know each other.

Cops say there was no warning. No provocation. And now, first-degree murder.
With a record dating to 2014, Chukwuka has charges for robbery, attempted murder, two counts of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, assault with a weapon, robbery with a weapon, possession of property obtained by crime and … four counts of fail to comply with a probation order, involving two incidents a day apart.
He was accused of stabbing one man in the chest. It isn’t clear what became of the charges against Chukwuka. The latest charges against him have not been proven.

He repeatedly violated his conditions and his release was suspended NINE TIMES. This time he was ratted out by his gal pal.
Willan was released on bail and busted three days later. Now, he’s out.
Conservative Leader Pierre Polievre weighed in on the Ajax attack: “Thanks to Liberal catch-and-release laws, hateful lunatics like these are terrorizing our communities every day. Conservatives will bring jail, not bail, to keep them locked up and bring home safety to our streets.”
