Air Commodore Dham takes charge as head of IAF’s Base Repair Depot in Pune | Pune News

In a change of command at the Indian Air Force’s Base Repair Depot at Pune, Air Commodore Ajit Singh Dham on Wednesday assumed charge of the formation from Air Commodore A P Saraph. A ceremonial parade was organised by the depot personnel on the occasion.

Air Commodore Ajit Singh Dham was commissioned in the Aeronautical Engineering branch of Indian Air Force (IAF) in 1992. Prior to assuming command of the depot, the officer was serving as the Principal Director at IAF’s project management team at Aeronautical Development Agency.

He did his Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication, Post-Graduation in Aerospace Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, and MS Software system from Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences, Pilani.

An alumnus of the College of Defence Management in Telangana, Air Commodore Ajit Singh Dham has held numerous prestigious appointments in his 32 years of service.

He had served as the Air Officer as senior technical officer of a flying squadron, a member of Directorate of Maintenance Staff Inspection, Chief Engineering Officer at Air Force Station, Bidar, and Director of Engineering at Air Headquarters. The officer also was part of the United Nations Mission in Congo.
