Aamir Khan believes Junaid’s flops will make him tougher, jokes he is a ‘great dancer’ but bad at interviews: ‘Even I was like that’ | Bollywood News

Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan marked his debut last year with the Netflix film, Maharaj and he was recently seen in his second film Loveyapa, which bombed at the box office. In a recent interview, Aamir opened up about his son’s strengths and weaknesses and said that Junaid is yet to learn a lot of things about this profession. Aamir shared that it is good for Junaid to experience failure in his career as it will make him tougher

In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Aamir said that he feels Junaid has had a strong start at the movies. ” He has made a good start. He has done a good job and that’s all that matters. His biggest strength is that he gets into his character. I feel he is a good actor. But, he has his weaknesses too.” Aamir laughed and jokingly said, “He is a great dancer, just like me.” He then shared that Junaid is not very good at giving interviews. “When he gives interviews, he gives really strange answers. But, he will learn. And what I like about him is that he likes to make his own way. Makes his own mistakes and learns on his own. He is a good guy,” he said.

Aamir then addressed the failure of Loveyapa and said, “He is a hardworking guy. Everyone has to face challenges in their life. Like his last film wasn’t successful. It’s good in a way. It will make him tougher, it will make him work harder. I think he is going well. ”

Aamir said that him and his son are alike in many ways and said, “We are very similar. I was very shy like him. Even I was bad at interviews. We are both very weird people. Our value systems are very strong. We fear stepping away from our value system. We do very impractical things to safeguard it. But what seems impractical to others is very important for us.” He also mentioned that both him and Junaid are very stubborn as he shared, “Both me and Junaid are very ‘adial’ and it has nothing to do with our success. Junaid is not even successful yet, but he is still just like I am.”

Aamir is producing Junaid’s upcoming film Ek Din, where he stars with Sai Pallavi.
