Government Employees Announce Three-Day Protest

Government workers have called for a three-day protest after the government failed to meet their demands. The All Pakistan Clerks Association announced that there will be full office closures on Tuesday and Wednesday, with protest banners posted in government buildings.

On Thursday, a large demonstration will take place outside the Civil Secretariat. Employees in other cities will gather at their local commissioner’s office to show their support.

The association has outlined several key demands, including salary increases in line with their Charter of Demands, the restoration of the leave encashment notification, and the reversal of the December 7 notification.

Additionally, they are requesting the restoration of the A-17 gratuity and family pension rules, the elimination of tax burdens on workers, and the reinstatement of vacant class IV positions.
