Venezuela closed its borders and airspace to Colombia on Friday, the day President Nicolas Maduro is to be sworn in as the country’s highest authority. Venezuela placed barricades in the middle of the Simon Bolivar International Bridge, which crosses the Tachira River, a natural border between Colombia and Venezuela.
