Strictly Come Dancing 2024 final odds

After months of heel leads, swivel steps and jazz hands we are now just days away from finding out who will lift this year’s glitterball in the Strictly Come Dancing final.

Fifteen couples have been whittled down to four, who must now perform three routines on Saturday night in a bid to be crowned this year’s ballroom champions.

The judges will be marking the routines but it will be the public who pick the winning couple in a live vote on the night.

And if betting odds are anything to go by there appears to be one standout favourite already.

Who is in the Strictly Come Dancing final?

Four couples have made it through to the final of Strictly after 12 intense weeks of training and performing.

Last Saturday saw the departure of TOWIE star Pete Wicks and his professional partner Jowita Przystal after the dance-off.

He said: “It’s been wild. I’ve been quite honest about the fact that I didn’t necessarily want to do this (Strictly) in the first place, but everyone else wanted me to do it, and I am so, so glad that I did it.

“You don’t always have to be the best, but if you enjoy something then why shouldn’t you have a go at it?

“I’ve tried my best from day one, I said I was in for a penny, in for a pound and I’ve done it – it’s been beautiful.”

It means comedian Chris McCausland and professional partner Dianne Buswell, actress Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola, JLS star JB Gill and Lauren Oakley and former Love Island contestant Tasha Ghouri and Aljaž Škorjanec, remain in the competition.

Who are the favourites to win?

Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell: 1/12

Chris and Dianne are riding high with the bookmakers. The comedian, 47, has odds of 1/12, according to comparison site Oddschecker. He is the first blind contestant on the show, and the only one without previous dance training in the final.

JB Gill and Lauren Oakley: 20/1

JB and Lauren have consistently topped the leaderboard in recent weeks, coming top in the semi-final with 79 points out of a possible 80. They are second favourites, with odds of 20/1 via Oddschecker. The JLS star had a tricky start to the competition, after his original professional partner Amy Dowden had to drop out due to injury. But the 38-year-old has proved to be a versatile dancer as he has progressed, going beyond his boyband stage moves.

Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola: 33-1

Sarah and Vito have had a successful run on the show. They have never been bottom of the leaderboard or found themselves in the dreaded dance-off. And they are are third favourite to win at 33/1, according to Oddschecker. The 53-year-old has proved age is not a barrier but her theatre school training and previous career in musicals may count against her in the final vote.

Tasha has performed some of the highest-scored routines of the series with Aljaž. She was second on the leaderboard in the semi-final with 75 out of a possible 80 points in the semi-final but the former professional dancer still found herself in the dance-off. It was the second week in a row the 26-year-old had to compete in the dance-off. Oddschecker has her on odds of 40/1.

What will happen in the Strictly Come Dancing final?

During the two-and-a-half hour programme, the four couples will perform three routines: two of their previous dances from the series, and a newly-created show dance.

Judges will be giving scores – but only for guidance, as the final decision on who lifts the glitterball will come down to the public vote.
