Man faces 2nd degree murder and aggravated assault charges in Brampton

An alleged murderer faces charges after a police found a woman’s body when they answered a call about a fight in Brampton early Tuesday.

Peel Regional Police said officers found the dead woman and two other adults with serious injures after they descended on the Centre-Queen Sts. area around 12:36 a.m.

The two people who suffered injuries were rushed to a hospital for treatment.

Wilfred Kent is charged with second-degree murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

Police said this was an isolated incident and there was no threat to public safety and have not commented on the relationship, if any, between Kent and the dead woman.
