An air ambulance attended the scene
A man is in hospital after falling from a height during an incident that led to the police referring themselves to a watchdog. An air ambulance was seen landing at Maes Garmon in Mold on Friday before taking off and heading towards Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
Both police officers and paramedics were present at the scene.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police stated: “At 9.25am today, Friday, August 1, officers attended an address in Mold to locate a local man. Officers were subsequently made aware a man had fallen from a height at that location.
“Colleagues from the Welsh Ambulance Service University NHS Trust and Wales Air Ambulance attended the scene, and the man was taken by an ambulance to hospital in Wrexham where he is being treated for serious injuries.
“North Wales Police has since made a routine referral to the IOPC in respect of this incident.”
