Unai Emery has named his Aston Villa starting XI to face St. Louis City at Energizer Park in Missouri.

This is the second of three pre-season friendlies Villa will play in the United States, with a final match against Nashville SC to follow next week.

Kick-off comes at 7:30pm out here in the States, which is 1:30am back in Birmingham.

Villa began their pre-season campaign with two defeats — first against Walsall at the Bescot Stadium, and then against Hansa Rostock in Germany.

They then drew 2-2 with Eintracht Frankfurt at the Lynn Family Stadium in Louisville last Saturday.

A number of first-team players enjoyed their first minute in pre-season in the draw, but John McGinn and Emi Martinez are yet to feature this summer.

The Argentina number one starts in goal behind a defence of Triston Rowe, Ezri Konsa, Pau Torres and Ian Maatsen, while Boubacar Kamara and John McGinn are in midfield.

Emi Buendia, Leon Bailey and Morgan Rogers support striker Donyell Malen at the top of the pitch.

Villa starting XI vs St. Louis: Martinez, Rowe, Konsa, Torres, Maatsen, Onana, McGinn, Bailey, Buendia, Rogers, Malen.

Subs: Gauci, Bizot, Cash, Mings, Tielemans, Watkins, Digne, Iling Jr, Bogarde, Ramsey, Kamara, Patterson, Jimoh-Aloba.
