Manchester United news as Ruben Amorim kickstarts his first pre-season as United boss against Leeds on Saturday

Manchester United’s pre-season schedule gets underway this weekend when Ruben Amorim’s men take on Premier League newcomers Leeds United in Sweden.

After spending two weeks at the club’s Carrington training base, the Reds will take on Leeds in Stockholm before flying out to the United States next week. New signings Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon could feature for the first time since their moves to the club this summer.

Bryan Mbeumo isn’t expected to be a United player in time for the game but Amorim is getting closer to signing his man. The club are now closing in on a move for the Brentford star and there’s hope he will be part of the squad that flies Stateside next week.

First, United take on Leeds and with that in mind, the Manchester Evening News takes a look at the details to watch the first pre-season friendly of the summer..

When is Man United vs Leeds?

The friendly will kick-off at 2pm BST on Saturday, July 19 at the Strawberry Arena in Stockholm.

Is Man United vs Leeds on TV?

Yes, Man United will be providing live coverage of the game on MUTV for subscribers. The fixture will be live on the TV channel as well as the club website and official United app.

Coverage starts at 1pm, an hour before kick-off. Supporters can sign up for £29.99 a year.

The game is also being shown worldwide on selected TV stations given the profile of the teams involved. VG+ Sport Norge is screening the game in Norway whule Sport Bladet Play has the rights to the action in Sweden.

STC TV, meanwhile, is showing the game in Saudi Arabia.
