There was ‘significant disorder’ outside the Angel pub on Sunday
Four people took part in violent disorder outside a Welshpool pub. Dyfed-Powys Police were called to the brawl outside the Angel pub in Berriew Street on Sunday, July 13 after “serious violence” was witnessed by the public.
The four people have appeared at court and pleaded guilty to affray, and now await sentencing. Police continue to appeal to anyone who witnessed the events in the Welsh town to come forward to help with investigations.
A spokeswoman for Dyfed Powys Police said: “At approximately 3.10am on Sunday July 13, 2025, Dyfed-Powys Police received a report of a significant disorder outside the Angel public house, Berriew Street, Welshpool town centre. Serious violence was witnessed, and officers swiftly attended the scene.
“Expeditious enquiries led officers to arrest four individuals, and following CPS advice subsequently charged and remanded the following:
- 21-year-old Troy Manuel, from Welshpool – violent disorder.
- 21-year-old Ryan Jones, from Welshpool – violent disorder.
- 18-year-old Kayden Manuel, from Welshpool – violent disorder.
- 19-year-old Jack Dixon, from Welshpool – violent disorder, possession with intent to supply class A cocaine, possession with intent to supply class B cannabis, and possession of criminal property.
The spokesperson added: “All four defendants appeared at Mold Magistrates’ Court on Thursday July 17, 2025.
“Troy Manuel and Kayden Manuel pleaded guilty to the offence of affray and were further remanded in custody to appear at Mold Crown Court for sentencing on August 7, 2025.
“Jack Dickson pleaded guilty to the offence of affray, possess with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A cocaine, and possess with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B cannabis. He was also further remanded in custody to appear at Mold Crown Court for sentencing on August 7, 2025.
“Ryan Jones pleaded guilty to the offence of affray and was released on conditional bail to appear at Mold Crown Court to be sentenced on August 7, 2025.”
Dyfed-Powys Police chief inspector Matthew Price said: “This successful outcome is the result of the proactivity and dedication of the Powys priority policing team who worked very long hours to secure these charges.
“The incident had a significant impact on the community and therefore the team were determined to detain the suspects swiftly. They were also supported by a number of other departments and officers in this endeavour.
