Jeffrey Epstein’s brother has slammed the FBI as ‘stupid’ after investigators ruled out the possibility that the paedophile’s jail death was anything but a suicide.
The brother of paedophile Jeffrey Epstein has hit out at the FBI over a “stupid” sudden ruling.
Mark Epstein said he “laughed at how stupid it was” after federal investigators ruled Epstein died by suicide in his New York prison cell in 2019 as he awaited trial. Speaking to NewsNation host Chris Cuomo on Tuesday, he said: “Every time they say something or do something to try to quash the fact that he was most likely murdered, they just put their foot further down their mouths.”
He also highlighted when FBI Director Kash Patel previously “listed his credentials as a prosecutor” when he “said, ‘you know a suicide when you see it.'” Mr Epstein said dismissively: “You know, that’s basically what he said.”
He noted Patel is not a forensic pathologist and that he does not have a medical degree, and went on to question if he even had a “Boy Scout merit badge for first aid”.
He also commented on two medical examiners who were involved in autopsies on his brother, namely Dr Kristin Roman and Dr Michael Baden, who did not give firm rulings. Mark said it pointed more to homicide that suicide.
“Was Kash Patel in that autopsy room?” Mark said. “No. Was Kash Patel in the prison when they found Jeffrey? No, I don’t think so — and if he was there, that raises an even bigger question.
“When Kash Patel came out with that statement, I laughed at how stupid it was.” The Department of Justice said in a memo there was no evidence that Epstein was killed by anyone else while he was in prison.
Mr Patel made the statement previously, including during a Senate hearing in May. The White House investigation also said there was no evidence Epstein had a “client list” despite previous comments by Attorney General Pam Bondi in February that stated the list was “sitting on my desk right now to review.”
This came after Mr Trump’s ally-turned-foe Elon Musk claimed, without evidence, that the Republican appeared in the Epstein files.
The Trump administration’s move to declare there was no client list has infuriated MAGA loyalists and has led to harsh criticism from supporters.
