During the outgoing fiscal year (FY25) total cement dispatches rose by 2 percent year-on-year (YoY) to 46.22 million tons.
The domestic consumption was down by 3.1 percent to 37.02 million tons, while exports jumped by 29.5 percent to 9.20 million tons.
Region-wise, North-based mills reported a 1.8 percent YoY drop in dispatches to 32.41 million tons, with domestic sales down 2.6 percent YoY and exports up 15.6 percent YoY.
South-based mills registered 12.3 percent growth to 13.81 million tons, led by a 33 percent rise in exports despite a 5.2 percent dip in local demand.
Meanwhile in June, cement dispatches declined by 2.8 percent YoY to 3.46 million tons, mainly due to a 15.7 percent drop in local sales to 2.60 million tons, while exports surged by 81.7 percent to 0.86 million tons.
