In December 2023, Kaplan-Myrth filed an application with the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, alleging that she had been “threatened, harassed, and physically assaulted by third parties for being Jewish,” but, when she notified fellow trustees and senior board leaders about the incidents, instead of addressing the concerns, they “dismissed the gravity of the situation and subjected her to differential treatment.”
