Police have arrested the suspect involved in snatching the wallet of national cricketer Hassan Ali’s mother. The accused, identified as Ibrahim alias Ali, is a resident of Mohini Road near Data Darbar in Lahore.
According to officials, Ibrahim was staying at a relative’s house on Gaddafi Road in Gujranwala when he committed the crime. A special police team, supervised by SSP Operations Rizwan Tariq, traced the suspect using modern investigative techniques and CCTV footage.
Police have recovered the stolen items from the accused, who is now under investigation. City Police Officer (CPO) stated, “No matter how clever the criminal is, he cannot escape the clutches of the law.” He added that the accused will face strict legal action in court.
Hassan Ali himself is busy making his national team comeback for Pakistan in the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh in Lahore. The fiery pacer returned with a bang, with a brilliant bowling spell of 5 wickets in 3.2 overs, conceding just 30 runs. His bowling spell helped Pakistan take the lead in the three-match series, with the second T20I set to take place tomorrow at the Gaddafi Stadium.
