EXCLUSIVE: Serena Kerrigan is launching her debut TV series, Older, Hotter, Wiser, on Peacock on May 19. Additionally, Kerrigan has signed a book deal with Crown, an imprint of Penguin Random House’s Crown Publishing Group, to release her first book, to be called Let’s Fcking Date.
Peacock’s 7-episode scripted comedy series, greenlit as part of the streamer’s Creator Accelerator Program, follows a young woman ready to take on Hollywood, but first, she must get there. When a logistical mishap forces her and her boyfriend onto a chaotic road trip to LA, what starts as a simple journey spirals into a wild ride filled with unexpected detours, mischief, and a reckoning with her past. As old mistakes resurface and the carefully crafted persona she built online begins to blur with reality, she’s forced to confront what she truly wants—for her career, her relationship, and herself. She’s older, hotter, and on the verge of something big. But is she finally wiser?
In addition to starring in the series alongside Felix Levine, Kerrigan also writes and executive produces Older, Hotter, Wiser alongside Julie Christeas. Sam McConnell directed the Tandem Pictures-produced project.
On the literary front, Kerrigan touts that she will “bring the same energy and perspective that defined her viral dating content to the page.” Let’s Fcking Date wil offer advice, personal stories, and practical insights that reflect her belief that confidence and self-worth are at the core of modern dating. The deal was negotiated by Kelly Karczewski at UTA and Crown associate editor Lori Kusatzky. The targeted time of release is 2026.
“Most dating books tell you how to be chosen,” she said in a statement to Deadline. “This book reminds you that you are the prize. You already have most of the answers. You just need a little slap in the face and someone to tell you what to do. And I don’t blame you. I like it rough, too. I’ll tell you everything I know because I’ve lived, learned, loved, and gotten f**ked… over. A lot.”
Let’s Fcking Date began as a digital series Kerrigan launched during the pandemic, which quickly grew into a broader brand encompassing four bestselling card games and now, her first book and series. Her work focuses on “empowering others through honest conversations about dating, self-love, and identity.”
Kerrigan is repped by UTA and Range Media Partners.
