Sam Thompson has been inundated with messages of support from fans after he broke his silence following his split from Zara McDermott in a new TikTok video
After his breakup with Zara McDermott, Sam Thompson has received a wave of support from fans following a comical TikTok video he posted.
In the amusing clip that includes Sam’s sister Louise, her other half Ryan Libbey, and their little boy Leo, Sam had everyone don costumes as characters from Harry Potter, reports the Mirror.
The presenter humorously captioned it: “I wonder what Sam’s been up to after the breakup?”. Supportive comments swarmed the video’s section. One fan penned, “You’re too good for her anyway.”
Another shared, “Sam, you will find someone who will adore your quirks like we all do. Never change! ! !”. Adding to the encouragement, another said, “Zara will never laugh like she did with you!”
A fellow fan suggested, “Sam, you are so much better without her. Trust you will realise that soon. Head up and just keep annoying your sister and bro-in-law.”
The buzz around the split of Sam, 32, and Zara, 28, a couple since 2019, continues to stir conversation. Despite parting ways, Sam has kept an optimistic attitude, regularly sending out positive vibes to his fans.
Only recently, he uploaded a clip exclaiming, “New year! 2025 baby, come on, let’s have it! I can’t wait. The new year is going to be amazing, and you’re going to have the best year ever.”
Zara has been rumoured to be seeing former One Direction star Louis Tomlinson, with reports of the pair enjoying several discreet dates and even a romantic break in Aldeburgh, Suffolk. A source revealed, “Louis has been a complete gentleman and has wined and dined Zara, treating her to a trip away.”
Meanwhile, Sam has confessed to feeling lonely after his breakup with reality TV personality Zara McDermott. He shared his feelings on the Staying Relevant podcast, which he co-hosts with ex-Strictly contestant Joe Marler and Pete Wicks.
In a conversation about Joe’s consideration of a vasectomy and the challenges of having four children, Sam interjected with a candid admission: “I’m just lonely.”
He expressed a desire for a large family himself, prompting Pete to comment on Sam’s recent “glow up” and his uncertainty about what to do next.
Since Sam and Zara parted ways in December 2024, there has been intense scrutiny over their well-being, with speculation about Sam’s mental health and Zara’s love life.
Sam has been particularly open during his podcast about his struggles, especially when attending events where both he and Zara were present. His downcast tone prompted fans to reach out with messages of support.
Following the incident, fans rallied around Sam, praising his friend Pete for offering support. One fan expressed sympathy for Sam, saying: “Oh Sam! ! ! You looked and sounded so sad! ! ! I really feel for you my lovely, you are such a wonderful human and normally keep everyone so upbeat, but this was so sad to see, I really wanted to give you a big hug! !”.
Sam also received support from JLS star Marvin Humes, who demonstrated his concern for Sam’s well-being by taking him out.
Sam revealed: “He wanted to check in with me and make sure I was ok because he knew everything had been a bit s*** recently. He took the time on a Monday evening to take the time away from his wife and kids to spend time with me, I almost shed a tear.”
