Emergency services were called to the rural property, near Nagambie, 160 kilometres from Melbourne, about 10am today.

The two-year-old girl was found unresponsive in the dam and medics tried to save her with CPR.

”Sadly, the infant was unable to be revived and died at the scene,” a spokesperson for Victoria Police said.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
