Parents have been sent into a frenzy after Lamborghini released an exclusive $5,500 baby stroller.
The luxury Italian car brand revealed earlier this week that it had partnered with Silver Cross, a high-end crib and stroller company, to produce its Reef AL Arancio.
The brand has boldly described the finished product as ‘a new era of super stroller’ – but not everyone was impressed.
The website states: ‘By combining Silver Cross’ unprecedented authority in nursery innovation with the iconic intricacies of Automobili Lamborghini, a super stroller is born.’
‘With high-performance fabrics, faceted framework, and flashes of arancio orange, Reef AL Arancio is one exceptional package.’
It continued: ‘Sleek, dynamic lines inspired by the vehicle’s foundations are embodied into the super stroller’s unique fabrics and framework for ultimate synergy, with a breathtaking angular bassinet, sculpted automotive-style seat and origami storage basket.
‘A design with strong personality, Reef AL Arancio incorporates automotive-inspired materials at every touchpoint – high-performance suede, Italian leather details, and a high gloss polycarbonate bassinet with integrated mesh for ultimate performance.’
But, despite its alleged ‘super’ qualities, many new parents were left largely uninspired.

Parents were quick to take to X, formerly known as Twitter, to slam the pram soon after the announcement.
‘I can hardly think of a bigger waste of money than this,’ someone wrote.
‘Consumerism has people in a chokehold,’ another added.
‘That s**t better drive by itself, play music, have a heater and a fan, and vibrate to shut them up.
‘That s*** better have a fridge on the side too,’ one furious observer demanded, based on the high price point.
‘What? $5,000? Seriously? I should be rich to throw so much money out the window,’ a user argued.
‘Now THIS is a waste of money,’ someone else shared.

There are only 500 AL Arancio strollers available globally – they can be identified by a ‘1 di 500’ plaque on the footplate
‘Hope it comes with a V8 engine,’ a user wrote.
‘Now, who is paying for this?’ questioned a commenter.
‘Cringe,’ someone wrote.
‘It better turn into a car too,’ a person insisted.
