Shoppers are overjoyed at the return of Trader Joe’s collapsible tote bags that are still available at select stores.
The accessories have been dubbed “so cute” and “very sturdy” by users, per the Daily Mail.
The collapsible totes come in two designs: Moon and clouds and palm trees.
A Trader Joe’s enthusiast named Shannon Fong was one of the first to discover their return.

She found them at a La Canada, California, location.
It is not known exactly what locations are still stocking the bags.
Several shoppers claimed they used their bags “every day” and recently spotted them in other cities in California like Murrieta and Sacramento.
The product description reads: “You’ve got places to go, people to see, and, more likely than not, stuff you’ve got to bring with you.
“Crafted for us by an expert Tote maker in Vietnam, these Bags are a particularly practical way to get your Groceries to and fro.
“And because one of our other reasons we’ve put so much effort into fun and functional reusable bags is so that you can carry your stuff in style, each of these Totes is covered in a vibrant, colorful, eye-catching design
“They’re great for everything from everyday grocery use, packing up books when moving, or for giving to friends and family as a remarkably pragmatic gift.”
The bags were one of multiple viral Trader Joe’s totes that flew off store shelves shortly after their release last December.
Insider Trader Joe’s podcast host Matt Sloan said: “We had actually hundreds of thousands of bags come in and go out within a weeks.
“We had no inkling that they would be this exciting, this quickly, for so many customers.”
How to cut the cost of your grocery shop
BELOW are some tips on how to reduce the amount you spend on groceries.
- Write yourself a list – Only buy items that you need. If it isn’t on your list, don’t put it in the trolley
- Create a budget – Work out a weekly budget for your food shopping
- Never shop hungry – You are far more likely to buy more food if your tummy is rumbling
- Don’t buy pre-chopped veggies or fruit – The extra they’ll charge for chopping can be eye watering
- Use social media – Follow your favourite retailers to find out about the latest deals
- Be disloyal – You may want to go to different stores to find the best bargains
- Check the small print – It’s always worth checking the price per kg/lb/litre when comparing offers so you’re making a like for like decision as a bigger box won’t necessarily mean you get more
- Use your loyalty cards – Don’t be afraid to sign up to them all. They all work slightly differently – work out what bonus suits you better and remember to trade in your points for additional rewards
But others haven’t been so lucky, and have been tricked into overpaying for fakes online.
Videos quickly went viral on the social media platform TikTok showing the long lines forming to get one of the bags.
It didn’t take long for the bags to start popping up on resale sites and even on Amazon and eBay.
The problem got so bad that Trader Joe’s was forced to speak about about it.
Trader Joe’s said in a statement: “This is done without our approval or authorization and outside the controls of our quality-minded supply chain.
“To be clear, we neither condone nor support the reselling of our products and do all we can to stop the practice.”
