Katie Price has shared the devastating news that she has suffered a miscarriage after she fell pregnant unexpectedly – despite being told she had just a 1% chance of conceiving naturally
Katie Price has shared the heartbreaking news of her miscarriage after becoming pregnant. The television personality and ex-glamour model has been open about her desire to grow her brood beyond her five children.
In a documentary aired just last month, the 46 year old detailed her IVF journey with then-fiancé Carl Woods. Over the festive season, Katie conceived with her partner, ‘Married At First Sight UK’ star JJ Slater.
However, during routine scans, it was revealed that the couple had tragically lost their baby, leaving them in deep sorrow.

Now, Katie is collaborating with Tommy’s, a charity focused on pregnancy and miscarriage, to bring attention to the struggles faced by mothers who have endured similar losses. She disclosed that she had only a 1 percent chance of conceiving naturally.
“I was just really sad because we went from joy and relief that I could get pregnant naturally, to confusion, heartbreak and sadness,” Katie expressed, reports the Mirror.
She further explained that she and JJ weren’t actively trying for a baby, especially since she had been informed she was perimenopausal. Yet, on Boxing Day, Katie realised she had missed a period, which was out of the ordinary for her. Soon after, she began experiencing symptoms such as sore breasts, nausea, mood swings, and bloating.
Speaking to The Sun, she revealed: “I did loads of pregnancy tests because I wanted to be sure, and JJ kept asking me if it was real. He was so, so excited.” She noticed that the lines on her tests were not getting darker, which she knew from her previous pregnancies they should. “I started to worry,” she admitted.
“We went to a clinic for blood tests and a scan and the scan showed where the baby was, but that it wasn’t alive any more. It’s been devastating. Previously, Katie has suffered three miscarriages, as well as a devastating ectopic pregnancy.”
Speaking about wanting more children, Katie revealed that she would explore IVF or a surrogate. Talking on the Netmums Podcast, Katie told hosts Wendy and Alison that she does want more kids, and specified how many. Sharing an update, the TV personality said: ” Katie has previously suffered three miscarriages, as well as a heartbreaking ectopic pregnancy. Discussing her desire for more children, Katie disclosed that she would consider IVF or a surrogate.
Speaking on the Netmums Podcast, Katie told hosts Wendy and Alison about her wish for more children, even specifying the number. Updating her fans, the TV star said: “I still want more. I’m at that stage and I do want more kids. I want more. And I don’t want to be told by a doctor or something that I can’t have more. I know I’m not done. If I could have two more kids I would.”
Katie further explained that while she “might act young and look younger”, she may be pre-menopausal. She added: “So I’m at that stage and I do want more kids. I didn’t realise until I did the IVF that when you’re born, you’re born with a set of eggs, and every period you have, you know, you get rid of eggs. So mine are quite old now.”
Earlier this month, Katie opened up on her podcast alongside her sister Sophie about potentially approaching menopause, sharing her struggles with sleep and experiencing cold sweats. “I’m not sleeping at night and I’m normally a really good sleeper, so something’s going on,” Katie remarked.
She added: “So I’m just going to get my blood test because maybe I’m having an early menopause, I don’t know how it all works, but I’m still having my periods.”
