The collaboration will see Givaudan distributing upcycled green banana powder, a versatile ingredient that enhances texture while reducing food waste. By repurposing unripe bananas that would otherwise be discarded, the initiative contributes to a more sustainable food system.

As part of Givaudan’s ‘Sense Texture’ range, green banana powder offers a clean-label alternative to traditional emulsifiers like starch, gum, and pectin. It improves the texture and mouthfeel of soups, sauces, baked goods, and extruded snacks while adding nutritional value with its fiber-rich composition. This fruit-based ingredient aligns with consumer demand for healthier, natural food solutions without artificial additives.

With Givaudan serving as the exclusive distributor in Europe and the Americas, the green banana powder is set to revolutionize food production by reducing waste, supporting sustainable supply chains, and offering innovative textural solutions.
