Impersonator at spa prescribed meds that made client ill: York cops

A 65-year-old man is facing prescription fraud and criminal negligence charges after police said a client became ill after receiving treatment at a medical spa in Aurora last month.

And investigators with York Regional Police say there may be more alleged victims.

Police said a male reported to cops on Dec. 16, 2024, that he had attended the spa in the area of Hollandview Tr. and McMaster Ave. and experienced significant health problems.

According to police, the investigation revealed a person was issuing prescriptions by “impersonating licensed medical practitioners and prescribed medications to the victim that were not applicable to his health.”

Georges Tsakiris, of King, is accused of criminal negligence causing bodily harm, assault causing bodily harm, two counts of forgery, two counts of uttering forged documents, two counts of possessing identity information for fraudulent offences, two counts of making a document without authority, and personate to gain advantage.
