DIG Architects designed the Vaulted Monochrome Haus, which is a monochromatic residence that is detailed with minimal accents and a cozy feel. The home is designed for a family of four — a finance entrepreneur, a Ph. D scholar, and their two adult children. The design team approached the project with a strong rapport and drew inspiration from structural forms.
The vaulted ceiling is the most definitive feature of the home which harmonizes the architectural intention. This component also complements the central theme with materials including gabion walls, frosted glass bricks, and more. In terms of the layout, the original structure is mostly retained with some strategic adjustments that are made to enhance spatial efficiency.
