A man was shot dead in his car on Monday night in Northwest Delhi’s Bawana allegedly over a land dispute, said police, adding that two minors have been detained in the case.
According to the police, the son of the deceased made a call at around 11:11 pm, saying that his father had been shot in Pooth Khurd. “On reaching the spot, a body was found inside a car in the driver’s seat,” said DCP (Outer North) Nidhin Valsan.
The victim was later identified as Dharamvir aka Billu, an employee at a DSIIDC liquor shop in Sector 3, Rohini, police said. “Family members have stated that there was a dispute regarding a plot in Pooth Khurd because of which there had been a few disputes earlier,” said DCP Valsan.
Police have also recovered one county-made pistol used in the commissioning of murder and 14 live cartridges. A case has been registered under the Arms Act and section 103 of the BNS, police said.
