IIT JEE Success Story: Ramesh Surya Teja’s success story, who prepared for the JEE Main exam for about 4 years from the age of 13 and achieved AIR 2 rank at the age of 17 in JEE Advanced. He was not able to perform according to his potential. Then he changed his preparation strategy. Surya prepared for 4 years for the JEE Mains exam and achieved AIR 28 in his very first attempt.

In the JEE Advanced exam, he scored 336 out of 360, achieving AIR 2.
From securing AIR 28 in JEE Main to achieving 2nd rank in JEE Advanced, the journey has been very interesting and exciting. During the mock tests, he was lagging behind many other students. He was unable to score 300 out of 300 points. His teachers always motivated him not to panic thinking about the JEE Advanced exam.
“I was unable to score 360 out of 360 points. I was unable to score 300 out of 300 in the JEE Main mock tests, while many other students were. Our teachers gave us the freedom to believe in ourselves instead of pressuring us and seeing if we were studying or not. They encouraged me and said that I could do it. This gave me a lot of confidence knowing that they believed in me. I worked hard,” said Ramesh in an interview with the Indian Express.
Ramesh has been studying for 12 to 13 hours every day for the past 4 to 5 years. He drew inspiration from his elder brother, who is currently in the final year of B. Tech at IIT-BHU.
