One person was hospitalized and two other people suffered minor injuries after a vehicle crashed into a jewelry store in north Etobicoke Sunday evening before the store was robbed.

Toronto Police said a suspect or suspects crashed a vehicle into a storefront in the Islington Ave.-Albion Rd. area at about 5:30 p.m.

The suspect or suspects then entered the store and took a “quantity of merchandise” before fleeing.
A person inside the store was hurt and sent to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two other people were also treated at the scene for minor injuries, although it was not known if they had been sent to a hospital as well.

The incident happened at Raj’s Jewellery at 2650 Islington Ave., CP24 reported
Spokesperson Const. Laura Brabant said she was unable to provide other information at the time, including potential suspects or what was taken from the store, as officers were still on scene investigating the incident.
