A THREE hour block will be in place for three consecutive days from January 22 to 24 along the Mumbai to Pune lane of the Pune Mumbai Expressway for the installation of girders required to construct a bridge near Kusgaon by Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC). The Pune bound traffic will be diverted along the old highway from 12 pm to 3 pm on the three days, officials said.
The construction of a bridge is underway at kilometre mark 58/500 near Kusgaon on the Pune Mumbai Expressway.
During this three hour block, traffic on the Mumbai to Pune corridor of the expressway will be redirected via Dehu Road, starting from kilometre mark 54/700 at Valwan to the Varsoli Toll Naka on the Pune Mumbai Old Highway of National Highway 48. Post 3 pm, traffic from Mumbai to Pune will be allowed back on the Pune-bound corridor of the expressway. Additionally, traffic from Pune to Mumbai corridor of the Expressway will continue on its course.
Commuters travelling on the expressway are advised to plan their journeys accordingly. In case of any assistance needed during this period, commuters can contact the Mumbai-Pune Expressway control room at 9822498224 or the Highway Police Department at 9833498334 for assistance, MSRDC officials said.
