One person was killed and three others were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash in Carson Friday night.
Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash at Figueroa Street and Sepulveda Boulevard shortly after 4 p.m.
Four vehicles were involved in the deadly collision. One of the vehicles was traveling southbound on Figueroa Street when it crashed into three other cars near the intersection, LASD said.
Photos from the scene show heavy damage to all vehicles, including one that was completely destroyed and mangled.
One person was pronounced dead by paramedics who arrived at the scene. Three other people were transported to the hospital in unknown conditions. A fourth person was treated at the scene and released.
It’s unclear what prompted the crash and the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation. The victim’s identity was not released.
Roads in the area were closed as deputies worked to clear the scene.
